I may write about immortal characters and it might seem glamorous and elegant, but I don't crave immortality. I think an eternal life of loss is more what being an immortal is about. Being chained to the physical world leaves no aspiration for the spiritual, and everyone who is mortal leaves forever, casting the immortal in solitude and desperation for companionship.

Sometimes you have to take yourself out of your creative space and start with that blank pallet.

I don't sit down and force words. I let them flow naturally. Makes for a much better story, I feel. Some days I write a couple hundred, others a couple thousand. There is no standard, and I still have an annual release.
